My approach

Person-centred therapy.

I work primarily from a person-centred framework, which means I believe you are the expert on your own life. My role is to offer a warm, non-judgemental presence — to listen deeply, reflect honestly, and walk alongside you as you find your own way forward.

Person-centred counselling

Rooted in empathy, unconditional positive regard, and congruence — the three core conditions developed by Carl Rogers.

Integrative elements

Where helpful, I draw on other approaches including CBT-informed techniques, mindfulness, and psychoeducation.

Trauma-informed practice

I work sensitively with trauma, always prioritising safety and your sense of control throughout our work together.

What to expect

Your first session.

The first session is a chance for us to meet, for you to share a little of what has brought you to therapy, and for me to answer any questions you might have. There is no pressure to share more than you feel comfortable with. We will talk about how we might work together and what you are hoping for. You are under no obligation to continue after the first session.

Fees

Session fees

Sessions are £49 for 50 minutes. A concessionary rate of £39 per session is available for those aged 18–23, for up to 10 sessions. Further concessions are available — please do ask prior to booking.

Booking & cancellation policy

Sessions are 50 minutes. Your initial consultation (£25) must be paid in advance by bank transfer to secure your appointment. From your second session onwards, payment is taken at the end of the session by cash or card — and your next appointment can be booked and paid for before you leave. Please provide at least 48 hours' notice if you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment. Cancellations or requests to reschedule received with less than 48 hours' notice will incur a charge of 50% of the session fee. All missed appointments without cancellation are charged at 100% of session fee. This policy helps protect the time reserved specifically for you, as it is often not possible to offer the appointment to another client at short notice.
